Die FachschaftenVollversammlung der Ernst-Bloch-Universität Tübingen unterstützt mit einem Beschluss vom 30. Juli 2012 die Proteste der Studierenden in Syrien:

Die erweiterte FachschaftenVollversammlung (FSVV) der Universität Tübingen solidarisiert sich mit den zahlreichen Kommiliton_innen in Syrien, die selbst in Zeite-n der grausam eskalierten Gewalt bewusst unbewaffnet eintreten für Freiheit, Menschenrechte und Demokratie.
Im Angesicht so vieler Toter und Flüchtlinge friedlich zu bleiben, den Mut nicht zu verlieren und weiter zu protestieren, verdient unser aller Respekt und Unterstützung. Dass diese lokalen Komitees darüber hinaus auch bewusst ihren Blick in eine Zukunft nach dem Assad-Regime richten und sich gezielt darauf vorbereiten, gibt Hoffnung auf ein Ende der Gewalt und eine friedliche Perspektive für das Land und die Region.
Wir rufen daher die Leitungen der syrischen Universitäten und Hochschulen dazu auf, Militär und Milizen den Zugang zum Campus zu verweigern und so die Studierenden vor Angriffen zu schützen. Hochschulen überall, und heute ganz besonders die syrischen, sollen einen Raum für Meinungsfreiheit und demokratischen Austausch bieten, sie dürfen nie Orte des Blutvergießens werden.
Wir unterstützen deshalb die Arbeit der Union Freier Syrischer Studierender (UFSS) für ein Ende der Assad-Diktatur und ihre Initiative, eine Alternativorganisation zu der der Baath-Partei getreuen Nationalen Union Syrischer Studenten (NUSS) aufzubauen. Wir bewundern den Willen der UFSS, den zivilen und unbewaffneten Charakter ihrer Proteste zu bewahren, um ein demokratisches, ziviles Syrien mit Menschen- und Minderheitenrechten zu erreichen und bestärken sie, diesen Weg weiterzugehen. Wir unterstützen ihr Ziel, mit Protesten auf dem Campus den friedlichen Aufstand in die Zentren der Großstädte zu tragen.
Dabei erklären wir uns speziell mit der Boykott-Initiative der UFSS zu den Prüfungen am Semesterende solidarisch. Mit ihr wollen die syrischen Studierenden all ihre Kommiliton_innen stützen, die an den Prüfungen nicht teilnehmen können, da sie während der Proteste für ein demokratisches Syrien verhaftet und gefoltert wurden, wegen ihres Engagements in den Untergrund gehen mussten oder getötet wurden.

We, the Students‘ Council (FSVV) of the University of Tübingen, send our solidarity out to our fellow students in Syria, who are protesting peacefully for freedom, human rights and democracy, even in a time of such utter violence raging throughout the country.
To remain peaceful and courageously protest in the face of so many dying and so many fleeing, deserves our outmost respect and support. And even more, the local committees have set their minds to a future without the Assad regime and actively prepare for this time coming. This gives us hope for an end to all the violence and a peaceful prospect for Syrians and the region.
We thus call on the leaders of all Syrian universities and colleges, to ban military and militias from campus and, by doing so, protect all students from assaults. Any academic institution should be a place where the freedom of opinion and speech and a democratic exchange are encouraged. So in these dark hours, all such institutions in Syria should hold to that and never allow any bloodshed on their grounds.
We therefore support the efforts of the Union of Free Syrian Students (UFSS) to put an end to the Assad-regime and their initiative to build an alternative to the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS), a mere student-wing to the ruling Baath Party. We admire the strong will of the UFSS, to stick to the civil and unarmed spirit of their protests and not to abandon the vision of a democratic Syria. We encourage them to stay on this route towards a country, where human rights and minority rights will be respected. We endorse their aim to take this peaceful uprising to the hearts of Syrian cities through actions on their campuses.
We would like to especially support the UFSS boycott of this semester’s exams and stand in solidarity with them and all their fellow students, that cannot take part in these exams, because they stood demanding a democratic Syria and were forced to go underground or have even been arrested and tortured or killed for their beliefs.
